Scribe An AI WAVE product

For Windows 10 & 11

Speak instead of type.

Your own private scribe. Dictation that runs entirely on your own computer, in whatever you are already writing in.

The Scribe remote: a glowing microphone button beside a moving sound wave.

Nothing you say ever leaves this computer.

On your machine

Your voice becomes text right here on your computer. It is never sent to anyone.

Just you

No account to create, no signing in, no password. Nothing tracks you.

Download once

One download when you first set it up, and that is it. Scribe runs entirely without the internet.

Tidy

Scribe lives in one folder. Uninstall it, and every trace is gone.

How it works

Press. Speak. It is typed.

CtrlSpace

Works in any app. Your email, a document, a browser, a form.

Talk at your own pace. It keeps listening until you press again.

Typed at your cursor

The words appear. Right where you were writing, with a copy on the clipboard.

A look inside

This is the whole app.

The Scribe window: the speech model chooser and after dictation switch on the left, the microphone in the middle, and earlier transcriptions below.
The model chooser, the microphone, and your recent words. That is all of it.

The remote

A little remote that stays on top.

Shrink Scribe to a small floating remote and pin it above your work. Switch tabs, switch apps, it is still there, one press away.

The Scribe remote in its light look: a microphone button beside a sound wave, small enough to sit above any window.

Questions

What will it cost?

One payment, once. Not a subscription. Scribe runs on your computer rather than our servers, so there is nothing to charge you for month after month.

Will it run on my computer?

If you have Windows 10 or 11 and about 8 GB of memory, yes. Any modern laptop handles the Fast and Balanced settings. A separate graphics card unlocks the highest quality setting, but you do not need one. There will be a free trial, so you can see it working before you pay.

How good is it, really?

It uses Whisper, one of the most respected open speech models there is, running privately on your machine. You choose the trade off between speed and accuracy, and you can change your mind whenever you like.

Who made this?

Tara Ferguson, of AI WAVE in Queensland, Australia. Scribe began as a tool she built for her own work and has used every day since.

Your words. Your computer. Your scribe.
